The Beach Boys’ twentieth UK release, the album was not released in the US until 1976.
The album did not chart in the UK but did reach the no.75 spot in the US in 1976. The concert was recorded in 1969 and was not released in the US until 1976 and was the twenty-first album release (including the three ‘Best of...’ compilation albums) for Capitol Records. Between 1969 and the release in the US of Beach Boys’69 ( US title - November 1976), the following Capitol LP compilations were also released:
